Is Everest affiliated with any funeral home(s)?

No. Everest is not directly or indirectly associated with any funeral service providers, we do not sell funeral goods or services, nor do we profit from your decision-making. Our sole purpose is to provide the information you need to make a well-informed decision.

What happens at or near the time of death? How are Concierge Services delivered?

The family contacts Everest and then:

A Senior Advisor who is a funeral director is assigned to the family to provide 24-hour assistance throughout the funeral process.

Toll-free phone conferences can be scheduled for geographically dispersed family members who want to participate in the funeral planning process.

A personalised funeral plan is confirmed if the client has made plans in advance. If the client has not made plans, we will help the family create a personalised funeral plan.

What are Everest’s concierge services?

A concierge (“pronounced kon-see-air-zh”) is someone who provides outstanding service tailored to meet the needs and requests of the client. At Everest, our concierge services are provided by our team of highly trained, knowledgeable Advisors.

What happens at or near the time of death? How are Concierge Services delivered?

The family contacts Everest and then:

A Senior Advisor who is a licensed funeral director is assigned to the family to provide 24-hour assistance throughout the funeral process.

Toll-free phone conferences can be scheduled for geographically dispersed family members who want to participate in the organising of funeral wishes.

Pricing information is presented to the family in an easy-to-understand format.

Your Everest Advisor will research and identify competitive prices and best values, and handle all communication with a local funeral home, removing the family from a sales-focused environment.

Will an Everest Advisor do comparison price shopping for my family at the time of death?

Yes. Everest Advisors understand how funeral products and services are priced, and will present information in an easy-to-understand format.

Can an Everest Advisor help my family if I die away from home?

Yes. Everest’s Advisors know how to help your family with this type of circumstance and can quickly help them make the necessary decisions and complete required documents.

Will an Everest Advisor come to my home?

No. Everest’s Advisors work exclusively with you and your family over the phone – Everest’s Advisors are available toll-free, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.

Does Everest assist with funeral expenses?

Everest can help families manage to a budget and depending on the circumstances may assist an insurance partner with an expedited claim payment. However, Everest never directly handles the family’s funds or pays for funeral expenses.

How can an Advisor help my family if the cost of my funeral is greater than the value of my life insurance policy?

Everest’s Advisors understand how to locate and select funeral products and services that will fit any budget and still produce a thoughtful and meaningful funeral.

Who is responsible for communicating My Funeral Wishes to the funeral home?

If you completed your plan online and/or mailed a paper version to Everest, an Advisor will first coordinate any additional details with your family and then work with the funeral home to ensure your wishes are honoured.

Why do I need Everest to help me compare funeral prices?

Anyone can compare funeral prices however the average consumer typically doesn’t know what questions to ask and price lists are often difficult to interpret. To further complicate matters, complex decisions must be made under duress and in a short time frame. Everest Senior Advisors are all licensed funeral directors who are familiar with the decisions a typical family will face and they will use their experience to help navigate the family through the funeral process in an unbiased manner.

How much money will I save using Everest?

Everest makes no guarantee regarding the amount of money the average family will save. However, Everest does guarantee that we can show families how to stay within their budget, which typically results in spending thousands of pounds less than they would have.
